A long time after they released Native (it’s been two years!), OneRepublic is finally close to releasing a new album, and they started with a new song, “Whenever I Go.”
Native has been the guys’ best album so far in my opinion, and the numbers some of the singles reached speak for themselves: “Counting Stars” is internationally known and loved, “What You Wanted” ended in the trailer for The Fault in Our Stars, “Feel Again,” “If I Lose Myself” and “Love Runs Out” were all very loved by the public, so a new album has a pretty high bar to reach.
Nevertheless, I trust the guys, they are one of my favorite band out there, and I’ve seen them in concert last year (they were amazing, Ryan Tedder‘s vocals are pure gold live), and they give out so much energy and good mood.
The new song is very summer-y, amazing for clubbing and gives you a really good mood. Can’t wait for news about their album, and they will perform the song on the 17th May on The Voice, and the music video will be directed by Joseph Kahn (who directed Taylor Swift‘s “Bad Blood,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “Out of the Woods.”
